Established by local music artists in Wilmington, this annual event now plays host to more than 70 bands from around the country. Celebrating independent culture, anyone who appreciates good music and good company will enjoy this festival. It takes place at the infamous Soapbox Laundrolounge in downtown Wilmington in May of every year.

Shakespeare on the Green Festival

Shakespeare is alive and well on the Cape Fear Coast! This year's performance of the Taming of the Shrew is a classic Shakespearean play and is performed in a modern way so as to be understood by children and adults alike. Shows begin at 8:00pm.
